LOW POLY | ORIGAMI BOWL
LOW POLY | ORIGAMI BOWL
Origami is the art of paper folding. Its name derives from Japanese words ori (“folding”) and kami (“paper”). Traditional origami consists of folding a single sheet of square paper (often with a colored side) into a sculpture without cutting, gluing, taping, or even marking it.
Origami can range from the super complex with realistic models to the simple models that are more easy to fold, but yet very recognizable. However complex, these models require carefully planned folds like brush strokes on a Rembrandt painting. If you're like me, sometimes random, clumsy folds are enough to create something recognizable.
We wanted to create a circular object with the principles and techniques of origami. A standout centerpiece for well arranged dinning table will attract and raise conversations.
